LegUp - For Yamaha Royalstar Venture/Tour Deluxe 2006-2012
LegUp™ is happy to announce that it has been completed the adaptation of our system to the 2006 and Later Yamaha Royalstar Venture or Tour Deluxe. Now you Royalstar owners that could use a LegUp™ can get one. Those of you who own this bike know how big, high and heavy they are. For some, this will be just what the doctor ordered!
It took quite a bit of engineering, but as you can see from the
pictures the system looks and works great!! The challenge on this bike was where to put the actuator. The back of the bike, where we normall find some space is VERY wide. We had to think of something, so we engineered a horizontal mounting system and slipped it under the bike by the right floorboard! We also had to create a pair of complex plates to allow us to mount our support system. Both of these items posed unique challenges, but we have them solved and the evidence is on these pages.
This BIG bike has everything! The suspension (a monoshock) is so soft on this bike, that if the wheels are down, and you dismount, the bike is not as sturdy as others, because the suspension rises about 2". It winds up not to be a big problem; if you are going to keep the bike parked with the wheels down, just raise and lower the legs again without your weight on the seat, and it stands up perfectly! Like all our other models, no real cutting or permanent modifications to the bike are required to install the LegUp™ System.
The system costs $3,495 (or consider our LITE system for $500 less!), and is available immediately! If you are having trouble handling the weight of these bikes as they stop, this system is going to make your riding so much more comfortable.
The wheels work exactly like the system on all the other bikes we design LegUp™ for. They can be deployed just before the bike stops, and retract automatically upon acceleration. You can even lean the bike somewhat with the wheels lowered. When the wheels are up, the bike is not compromised at all! Lean into turns all you like... You can't do that on a trike or other outrigger-type systems.
